Thank you Pamela
On Sunday 26th May at Polyphant Chapel Mrs Pamela Harris was presented with a certificate to mark her 50 years service of playing the organ for the chapel services.
What a lovely surprise I had during the morning service on May 26th to receive a certificate and bouquet of flowers to mark 50 years of playing the organ at Polyphant Methodist church. I was encouraged by two organists that have gone on: Mrs Mabel Rowe and Mr Stanley Martyn. I started playing the children's hymn first and when the organist was not there any more, I just took their place. I really thank the Lord for giving me good heath.
On Songs of Praise, a few years ago, looking at the Junior Choir of the Year, I heard an adjudicator's remarks saying that 'If you have got music in your life then your have got 'treasure', so enjoy it; and nobody can take it away from you'. So I say 'Thank you for the music, the hymns I've been playing. Thanks for all the joy they're bringing. Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty? What would life be? So I say Thank you for the music, for giving it to me'. God bless you all.
Pamela Harris
